Crystal Guardians

 

Fitheach Eun whispers: " Is that a volcano?"

Saphira Mistwalker sniffs the air and wrinkles her nose. "Must be, I smell sulfur."

Fiesty Lotus: “Oh my, we found it. I didn't think we would.”

Talia.Sunsong sneezes.

Fitheach Eun: "Surely this cave must be guarded?"

Fiesty Lotus: I would imagine.

Talia.Sunsong : "I don't see why the portal master didn't just give us what we want."

Savage Taurus: “Yea, what’s up with that?”

Saphira Mistwalker sighs. "That would be too easy."

Fiesty Lotus looks sympathetically at Fae Talia. "Me neither"

Savage Taurus: “What a jerk.”

Fitheach Eun:” I think he just likes being a jerk."

Saphira Mistwalker: “The power goes to their heads, they just have to make it hard on everyone else.”

Rorn nods in agreement with the adults, although he isn't really sure what they mean.

Fitheach Eun: “Let's see if we can get closer?”

Saphira Mistwalker sighs again. "Do we try to sneak in, or just charge?"

Fitheach Eun: "Hmmmm, there is a lot to said for charging?"

Fiesty Lotus: “Yes, I think surprise is best.”

Savage Taurus: “Are we sure we want to do this?”

Fitheach Eun looks levelly at Savage: " Yes we are."

Fiesty Lotus looks at savage with pleading eyes.

Savage Taurus sighs.

Fitheach Eun: "Ready then?"

Talia.Sunsong pulls out bent magic wand.

Saphira Mistwalker grimaces at the wand, but nods. "Let's do this."

Fitheach Eun stops short, seeing the crystal beings.

Fiesty Lotus: “Try ter talk to them?”

Saphira Mistwalker draws her daggers, but then gasps as she sees the crystalline guards.

Saphira Mistwalker: “I don't think these are going to be something I can stab.”

Crystal guardian stands in front of the cave entrance and stares at the intruders.

Savage Taurus: “I don’t think they want us going in.”

Saphira Mistwalker: “Um, greetings?”

Fitheach Eun smiles at the guards and asks politely: " You don't have any spare rainbow crystals do you?"

Fiesty Lotus stifles a groan.

Crystal Guardian rumbles threateningly and emits something that sounds like a grinding growl.

Saphira Mistwalker shrugs. "Direct and honest, it's worth a try.."

Fiesty Lotus shrugs and takes a few steps forward.

The other elementals close in behind him, blocking the entrance to the cave

Saphira Mistwalker shakes her head and takes wing.

Fitheach Eun stares at the crystal being.

Rorn puffs up his chest and tries to look big. He growls at the crystal creature but the growl sounds as loud as a kitten's growl.

Saphira Mistwalker tries to look menacing as she hovers before one of the guardians. "Don't make me hurt you."

Fitheach Eun: “I wonder how many more are inside?”

The elemental swats at the tiny creature in irritation.

Fitheach Eun ponders..."Hmmm, CRYSTAL; CRYSTAL CONDUCTS..."

Rorn yelps and dodges away from the crystal creature.

Saphira Mistwalker hisses in anger. "Leave him alone!"

Fiesty Lotus: “Yup and it will shatter too.”

Talia.Sunsong : "Hey you, rock head. Don't touch my baby dragon!"

Saphira Mistwalker breathes a stream of dragon fire at the crystal guard.

Fitheach Eun: “Yes resonance should help.”

Saphira Mistwalker lands so she can get closer.

Saphira Mistwalker frowns, as her fire is having little effect on the guard. "This is not going to be easy."

Saphira Mistwalker: Oh great, another one.

Talia.Sunsong  jiggles her bent magic wand. A few sparks fly out and then it dies.

Saphira Mistwalker releases stream after stream of fire, hoping to heat up the crystal guard enough to damage it.

Seeing Saph fighting, Rorn flies in to help.

Fiesty Lotus looks around for some large rocks.

Rorn zips up to the crystal being and tries to ram it's head.

Fitheach Eun starts to call some thunder and lightning.

Saphira Mistwalker takes a deep breath, hoping she doesn't run out of fire before they can beat these things.

Fiesty Lotus starts low chants and stares in apprehension at the crystal creatures.

Fitheach Eun watches Savage and Talia chase the crystal being

Fitheach Eun: OK, “I guess we deal with these then...”

Fiesty Lotus notices that the crystal creature who Saphira was flaming is a different color than he was before.

Saphira Mistwalker hisses very unlady-like in Draconic, "Xsioul tonashi (Damnable rocks)!"

Fitheach Eun takes a deep breath and calls to the storm.

Saphira Mistwalker tries another stream of fire.

Fiesty Lotus takes aim and sends a rock spinning at the creatures arm. The arm shatters.

Saphira Mistwalker cheers, "Good shot Lady Fiesty!"

Fitheach Eun: Advancing on the blue headed one she calls lightning and strikes the creature. Electrical charges flash around it and it glows.

The creature growls and waves it's free arm in anger.

Fiesty Lotus: “Lady Saphira. Please keep heating the creatures”

Saphira Mistwalker nods and takes another deep breath.

Fiesty Lotus sends another rock at the creature. It misses. "Dang, I gotta practice."

 Fitheach Eun calls another bolt and it keeps glowing brightly with flashing lights dancing about.

Saphira Mistwalker pants. "I can't do much more of this, I'm running out of fire"

Fiesty Lotus begins sending rock after rock at the creatures.

Suddenly sparks fly from the being and it collapses.

Saphira Mistwalker gives a victorious hiss, "Yes! We got one of them.

Fiesty Lotus aims for the  ruby headed creature.

Saphira Mistwalker concentrates her fire on the other guard.

Fitheach Eun advances on the one inside the cave and calls a thundercloud.

Fitheach Eun: “Ok purple is yours I'll get the one inside.”

Fiesty Lotus sends a large rock at the ruby elementals head. It explodes.

Saphira Mistwalker nods and hisses in satisfaction. "You're getting better Lady Fiesty, good job."

Saphira Mistwalker directs her remaining fire on the last guard.

Fiesty Lotus advances on the remaining guard.

Saphira Mistwalker takes a deep breath and lets loose her last stream of fire.

Fitheach Eun centers the cloud over it and calls thunder, vibrating the air around it.

Fiesty Lotus tears up the ground beneath the elemental so that it stumbles.

Saphira Mistwalker pants for breath,

Fiesty Lotus throws another boulder at the guard.

Fitheach Eun calls more thunder as the creature starts to resonate. As the rock strikes it, it shatters completely.

Saphira Mistwalker ducks as crystal pieces go flying.

Fiesty Lotus heaves a sigh and trembles as her energy is close to depleted.

Fitheach Eun heads up the tunnel, feeling a bit unsteady.

They head up the tunnel.

Fiesty Lotus follows quietly.

Saphira Mistwalker follows, drawing her daggers just in case.

Fiesty Lotus catches sight of a  smaller elemental in the corner but it scurries away.

Fitheach Eun looks around: "Wow this is some cave."

Fitheach Eun: "Hey where are Savage and Talia?"

Saphira Mistwalker looks around, "I don't know, I lost track of them while we were fighting the guards."

Fiesty Lotus “Let’s do this quick then.”

The three survey the cave and see the coveted rainbow crystals in a corner of the cave.

Druid Fitheach puts on her gloves before testing the rainbow crystal  cluster. She gently wiggles each shard.

Fitheach Eun “This one is loose.”

Fiesty Lotus pulls out a specially lined bag and holds it out for the crystal.

Seeing the task about done, Saphira Mistwalker dashes out of the cave and looks around for the rest of their group.

Saphira Mistwalker shouts “I see them up the mountain.”

Druid Fitheach and Druid Fiesty hastily drag the crystal shard and debris into the bag and secure it before running out to meet Saphira and the others.

Portal Master

 On the airship

Fiesty Lotus talks excitedly about the trip to the Hobbit Council she took with Druid Fitheach.

Fitheach Eun: “The hobbit council was very accommodating.”

Talia.Sunsong "You saw the hobbits?"

Fitheach Eun nods.

Talia.Sunsong "Did they accommodate you with food? Do you have leftovers?"

Fiesty Lotus: “They came from the same lands as my tribe is in! I cannot believe it!”

Saphira Mistwalker: “Oh my, how many of them did you find?”

Savage Taurus: "Hobbit council? Why wasn't I invited to this?" looks at the droods suspiciously.

Fitheach Eun: “Fiesty thought it would be less alarming for them if only we went.”

Saphira Mistwalker hisses laughter at Savage, "Maybe they didn't want you eating any?"

Savage Taurus: mutters, "Dang blasted droods is plottin' and schemin', I bet"

Fiesty Lotus nods. "I didn't even tell them I was a Druid cause I did not want to confuse them.”

Talia.Sunsong "Don't eat Hobbits. They are good cooks."

Fitheach Eun: “I was wondering why I was suddenly the only druid...”

Fitheach Eun: “But I played along."

Fiesty Lotus:” Anyway, we found out there was only a few of them and they would welcome my people.”

Fitheach Eun smiles: "And they told us about the Portal Master."

Fiesty Lotus: “Oh yes, you speak about that Druid Fitheach.”

Fitheach Eun: "He may charge a high price, but evidently he can make a stable portal large enough to move them all."

Savage Taurus: Price?

Fitheach Eun: " Yes, they said he was expensive."

Saphira Mistwalker sighs. "I bet this is where we come in Savage.

Talia.Sunsong "What does he want. our souls? He can't have mine."

Fiesty Lotus shrugs, "I guess we will find out when we gets there."

Savage Taurus: “Well, you can’t have none of my hoard.”

Fitheach Eun: "They showed where he lives on the map; we should go."

Fiesty Lotus nods vigorously.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Aye, let's.”

Savage Taurus: grumbles about, "I ain't sacrificin' nuthin fer this mission..."

 

They come to the hall of the Wizard

Fiesty Lotus: “Oh my, that be a big place.”

Saphira Mistwalker blinks and narrows her eyes. "Big, and bright."

Savage Taurus: “These people seem to like green. I approve.”

 Saphira Mistwalker rolls her eyes.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Pfff, I say you could get by with a toenail Savage, but you don't have any right now.”

Rorn flies around in glee as he has a new place to play.

Savage Taurus growls at the dragoness.

Rorn flies near a unicorn pulling a carriage.

Saphira Mistwalker glances at Rorn. "Don't wander off too far, in case we have to leave in a hurry."

The unicorn rears back from the little dragon as Rorn startles him.

Saphira Mistwalker hisses laughter at Savage.

Fitheach Eun: “I hope he is easy to deal with; the hobbits warned us about him.”

Talia.Sunsong looks around for food.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Hmm, we will see.”

Rorn splashes in the fountain

Fiesty Lotus: “Yes, I do hope so. I guess we go in here?”

Fitheach Eun walks slowly up the long walkway to the building.

Saphira Mistwalker: “He must have some strong magic, I can't spark my dragon fire here.”

Fitheach Eun stops at the hall where a giant head glows.

Talia.Sunsong "Ooooh look at all the shiny gold objects"

Saphira Mistwalker raises an eyebrow.

Talia.Sunsong goes over to emeralds in the wall and thinks of prying them out.

Fitheach Eun shouts to the head: " Where can we find the Portal Master?"

Fiesty Lotus whispers "Careful Fae Talia, we don't want to anger the Master there."

Savage Taurus: watches the fae and thinks maybe she has the right idea, and eyes the sparkling gems everywhere.

Saphira Mistwalker frowns and hisses, "Vi munthrek fothisev mrith thric mamiss? [A human head with no body?]"

The head shouts: " Get away from that wall."

Talia.Sunsong jumps.

Fiesty Lotus looks expectantly at the enormous head.

Talia.Sunsong "I wasn't doing anything!" scurries away from the wall.

The head scowls: " I am the portal master, what do you want?"

Savage Taurus: inches away from the fae in case she gets zapped.

Fitheach Eun walks forward with Fiesty.

Talia.Sunsong moves warily closer to giant head.

Savage Taurus follows the others hesitantly.

Fiesty Lotus says in a trembling voice "Sir, we wish that you might grant us a boon."

The head thunders again, " Well what is it?"

Saphira Mistwalker mutters to Savage, " Ti vi zi petranasviw xiekiv [Not a very pleasant person.]"

Savage Taurus nods to Saphira.

Talia.Sunsong whispers "What's a boon? Can I have one too?"

Fiesty Lotus: “I heard that yer can put portals in places ter move crowds.  Is that right?”

Fitheach Eun: " Yes we need to move a large number of hobbits."

The Head: " Hobbits, why should I care about hobbits?"

Fiesty Lotus: "They be enslaved see, and we need ter get them out of that place.”

The head looks scornful: " And of course you are prepared to pay well for this?"

Fitheach Eun looks back steadily: " So far we have seen no evidence that you can do such a thing, can you?"

Rorn: snuffles around beneath the head around the altar and fire.

The head’s eyes narrow: " I don't do demonstrations."

Fiesty Lotus nods wordlessly.

Saphira Mistwalker hisses. "What kind of payment to do you expect, 'Portal Master'?"

The head stares back and smiles wickedly: " Bring me the rainbow crystal and I will build your portal."

Rorn, head cocked to the side, sits and looks up a huge head.

Savage Taurus whispers, "Nomenoi sumf re xurwkir udoka gethrisj seltur." [These lot are making us go soft.]

Fitheach Eun queries: " A rainbow crystal?"

Fiesty.Lotus: “Um, and where we gonna find this Crystal?”

Saphira Mistwalker: “And where do we find this rainbow crystal, oh Great Bald One?”

Talia Sunsong: "Is the rainbow crystal worth a lot of money?"

Fitheach Eun stifles a chuckle.

Fitheach Eun: "Indeed, where is such a thing to be found?"

Savage Taurus mutters, "I bet his name is Heady."

The head glares: "Rainbow crystals are mined beneath an ancient volcano."

Fiesty.Lotus: “Where's that then?”

The head: "It is well guarded by magical being."

Saphira Mistwalker mutters. "Of course it is"

Fitheach Eun whispers back: " Aren't they always? "

Talia Sunsong: "How mean of magical being?"

Fitheach Eun glances at the others questioningly.

Savage Taurus: looks around, "We're pretty much all magical beings here, right?"

Saphira Mistwalker: “Aye.”

Fitheach Eun: " Are you all up for this?"

Talia Sunsong: "Umm, probably not."

Savage Taurus: sighs and grumbles, "Do I really have a choice?"

Fiesty Lotus looks angrily at Fae Talia. "You have done well fighting creatures before.."

Fitheach Eun: " We will take your challenge; where is this volcano mine?"

Savage Taurus mutters, "I don't know why I let them drag me into these things..."

Talia Sunsong: "I've done well before? Thanks!" Chest swells with pride.

The head grumbles: " South, about 100 miles. You can't miss it."

Rorn raises a hand/paw to say he is 'in' with the rescue.

The head: "Now leave and do not come back unless you have a rainbow crystal.."

Savage Taurus: "A hundred miles. Really clear directions this guy gives...."

Saphira Mistwalker sighs.

Fiesty Lotus capitalizes on Talia's smile and adds "Rorn is also good in a fight."

Fitheach Eun: "Why do they always say, "You can't miss it."

Saphira Mistwalker: “Aye, that sounds a little ominous”.

The head thunders: " It's a large volcano!"

Savage Taurus: "I always miss the turn and then have to loop back around."

The head: "Now get out of here."

Savage Taurus: growls under his breath

Fiesty Lotus turns and walks out wondering how big this Crystal is.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Geez, what a grouch.”

Saphira Mistwalker: “Thank you oh Great Bald One.”

Talia Sunsong slips away from mean head.

Fitheach Eun: "He really was; aren't there any nice wizards?"

Savage Taurus: “Catch ya later, Heady.”

Rorn: waves hand/paw "goodbye" and flies out.

 

Museum

Talia Sunsong looks up at the stone building with "MVSEVM" carved above the wide doorway.

Talia Sunsong: "What does 'MVSEVM' mean?"

Savage Taurus “Don’t know. How would you even pronounce that?”

Fiesty Lotus: “I believe it's a museum, the Vs are U's.”

Savage Taurus “Maybe its goblin.”

Fiesty Lotus sighs.

Talia Sunsong: "Why would the 'v's be 'U's.? How silly."

Savage Taurus “Only goblins would confuse U with V.”

Talia Sunsong: "Is there free food here?"

Fiesty Lotus: “Well, I dunno.”

Fiesty Lotus: “Come on let's look a bit. They be strange stuff here.”

Talia Sunsong looks at a display case with jewelry. "Hey, look at all the shinies!"

Savage Taurus “Weird looking soups.”

Talia Sunsong gazes longingly at the diamonds, gold and silver jewelry.

Fiesty Lotus stares at the sea plant specimens.

Talia Sunsong: "Did you say soup?"

Talia Sunsong looks for free food.

Savage Taurus “Yea, go ahead and drink one.”

Talia Sunsong goes to strange cabinet with rows of sea creatures in jars.

Rorn flies over to jars.

Talia Sunsong opens a jar with a squid inside.

Rorn sniffs the preservatives in the jar and is repelled.

Fiesty Lotus begins to wonder if coming here was a good idea.

Rorn spots a suit of armor and remembers Saphira's fairy tale about dragons saving princesses from evil knights.

Rorn: "Save Princess!"

Inspector Clueless walks around in the museum, subbing for the regular security man.

Rorn zips over to the suit of armor.

Talia Sunsong: "Hey Rorn, where are you going?"

Rorn narrows his eyes and glares at the suit of armor.

Inspector Clueless sees a strange sight, a small dragon is hovering above the museums splendid armor display.

Inspector Clueless Shouts "Get away from there."

Get away from there!

Rorn: "Save Princess from evil knight!"

Rorn beats his wings and rams the head of the suit of armor.

Talia Sunsong: "Rorn!"

Inspector Clueless waves his hands at the creature.

Savage Taurus “That’s right, boy! Git that thar pesky knight! Haha!”

When Rorn hits the armor there is a loud clanging noise. Rorn shakes his head to clear it.

Inspector Clueless: “No, no. You must not damage the armor!”

Rorn snaps at the inspector's hands.

Inspector Clueless pulls his hands back.

Talia Sunsong: "Well this suit of armor started the fight!"

Inspector Clueless addresses the lady with wings, who seems somehow familiar. “Please Miss, can you restrain this creature.”

Rorn rams the suit of armor again. The gauntlet gloves open and the tall sword slips out of the metal gloves.

Please miss, can you restrain this creature.

Inspector Clueless jumps back from the sword.

The sword falls to the ground. CLANG!!

Talia Sunsong looks down. "Did anyone want a free sword?"

Inspector Clueless turns to the child and asks her to help him restrain the creature.

Talia Sunsong: looks at Clueless. "Why would I restrain Rorn? He is fighting evil!"

Savage Taurus shrugs, "Sure," and picks it up and swishes it around.”

Talia Sunsong: "Whoa!" backs away from the sword into the rows of jars. The case wobbles dangerously.

Fiesty Lotus: “No, No, the sword belongs to the museum. Tell Rorn to stop.”

Fiesty Lotus: “Oh Dear.”

Savage Taurus: “Watcherself. Don’t spill the soup.”

Rorn rams the suit of armor again. The helmet pops open.

Inspector Clueless: “Ahh, non, non. Do not knock the jars down!”

The case of jars topples over, smashing open jars of rubbery sea creatures.

Talia Sunsong: "Eeepp!!!"

Inspector Clueless turns to the Snakelike being and sees the glasses.

Savage Taurus sighs, "all that good soup, gone to waste"

Inspector Clueless: “Oh, it's you people!”

Talia Sunsong lands on the ground, covered in squid and jellyfish.

Savage Taurus “Don’t know what yer talkin bout, buddy.”

Don't know what you are talking about buddy.

Fiesty Lotus: “Oh dear, oh dear. You have ruined that skirt and the smell is terrible.”

Savage Taurus “Nanny, don’t play with yer food.”

Talia Sunsong: brushes wet squid and fish off of herself. "Yuck!"

Inspector Clueless “Yes, I know you, well maybe not you but the child and the winged one.”

Rorn sticks his head inside the empty helmet "Evil knight?"

Savage Taurus pokes the tip of the sword into a squid and takes a bite, "BleH! This is awful soup!"

Inspector Clueless turns to the winged one and says, "You threw me off the airship!!”

Rorn looks confused as to where the evil knight has gone.

Talia Sunsong: "Aren't you the one who FELL off the airship following me onto the beam?"

Inspector Clueless: “All of you clear out now or I will call constables to throw you out!”

Talia Sunsong: "I nicely saved you by throwing you into a cotton candy machine."

Rorn decides he has vanquished the evil knight, but he sends little flames from his mouth into the empty suit of armor just to make sure.

Inspector Clueless is shaking with rage.

Talia Sunsong grabs an expensive looking dress out of a display case to replace her wet one.

Inspector Clueless waves his arms, not too close to the little dragon, and yells "Get out of Zis place, Now!”

Savage Taurus discretely stows the sword away and quietly slithers out of the mvsevitvm or whatever.

Fiesty Lotus: “Come on folks, we should leave before this one has a heart attack.”

Rorn sends out a small flame towards the Inspector.

Talia Sunsong: "Let's go Rorn."

Inspector Clueless squeaks.

Savage Taurus chuckles as he notices flames flickering on the back of the inspector's bowler hat.

Talia Sunsong hurries towards the MVSEVM exit.

Talia Sunsong: "Well I got a free dress at least."

Talia Sunsong: Rorn lands in Talia's arms, feeling satisfied he defeated an evil knight.

 

Rorn gets Flying Lessons

Rorn spots a jack rabbit. In a flash he is into the air . He is so intensely looking at the rabbit running on the ground, he doesn't notice an upcoming tree.

 Saphira Mistwalker watches Rorn sailing after the rabbit.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Rorn! Watch out!”

 Savage Taurus: “Watch where you are going, son.”

 Rorn smashed into the tree, causing leaves to rain down.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Oh no, Rorn!"

 Saphira Mistwalker winces.

 Rorn, dazed, shakes his head to clear it.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Rorn, are you all right?”

 Rorn sighs

 Savage Taurus sighs

 Talia.Sunsong "Rorn you need flying lessons."

Rorn, you need flying lessons.

 Rorn perks up and looks to the dragon adults.

 Rorn: "Lessons! Lessons!"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Rorn, try flying through these rings, one after the other. Take it slow the first couple of times. Watch where you are going.”

 Rorn looks up at the metal hoops.

 Rorn looks at Lady Saphira. "Me?"

 Saphira Mistwalker nods. "Aye, you."

 Rorn cocks his head and looks at the hoops.

 Talia.Sunsong "Go ahead, Rorn. You can do it!"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Don't go too fast. See if you can turn and twist to avoid the rings.”

 Rorn backs up and takes a running leap towards the first hoop.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Be aware of where your wings are!”

 Rorn bangs into the bottom of the first hoop.

 Saphira Mistwalker winces again, and sighs.

 Savage Taurus: “Make yourself sleek, son, so that you slip through the air like an arrow.”

 Saphira Mistwalker nods. "Aye, listen to your father.”

 Rorn puts his ears down, as if that will make him sleeker. He backs up and tries again.

 Rorn sails through the first hoop, then goes under the second hoop.

Saphira Mistwalker hisses approval. "That was good Rorn, but be sure to watch where you are going next."

Rorn backs up and tries again.

 Rorn trots along the ground back to the beginning.

Fiesty Lotus: Hey, sorry I am late!

 Saphira Mistwalker smiles. "Hello Lady Fiesty, we are trying to teach Rorn a little control in his flying.”

 Rorn tenses his little legs and leaps into the air.

 Fiesty Lotus: "Ahh, very good."

Rorn sails through the first hoop, the banks his wings to fly up to the second hoop. He skims through the second hoop, his belly scraping the bottom of the ring.

 Saphira Mistwalker hides a grin behind her hand. "That was better Rorn."

 Rorn: "Me good!"

Rorn: runs back the beginning. Confidently leaps into the air, through the first and second hoops, then flaps his wings to dive through the 3rd hoop.

Savage Taurus: “You need to anticipate the turn, start banking beforehand and let the base of you wings take the g-forces. This will allow you to turn sharper and harder.”

 Saphira Mistwalker nods. "Your father is right Rorn."

 Savage Taurus: “And take a flap for acceleration right before the turn and then glide through it.”

 Rorn skips back to the beginning and sails easily through the first hoop, 2nd hoop, scrapes through the 3rd hoop, then almost misses the 4th hoop but grabs it with his claw and pulls himself through.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Hey, that's cheating Rorn!"

 Savage Taurus: laughs, "Cheeky boy."

 Rorn dances around like he has won a prize fight.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Good point Savage. Rorn, if you fold your wings as you reach the ring, it is easier to make it through.”

 Talia.Sunsong: "Try it again Rorn!"

 Saphira Mistwalker giggles. "He is a dragon; whatever works is allowed."

Rorn runs back to the beginning. He narrows his eyes and looks at the hoops. Rorn launches himself into the air, carefully folding his wings as he passes through the hoops, tilting his wings to move up and sideways through the next hoop.

 Rorn dives through the 3rd hoop, then veers left and makes it through the 4th hoop.

The fourth hoop.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Oh, very nice Rorn! You got all four!”

 Talia.Sunsong: "Yay, Rorn, Good job!"

Savage Taurus: “Good boy.”

 Fiesty Lotus smiles at the young dragon

 Rorn lets loose with his fire breath.

 Fiesty Lotus jumps back, too close to his exhale

 Talia.Sunsong: "Careful Rorn."

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Hmm, we may need to work on that too.”

Talia.Sunsong: "Oooo, dragon fire practice time?"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Sure, it is always good to hit what you’re aiming at, and not waste fire.”

 Rorn jumps up and down "Fire time!"

 Talia.Sunsong: "Can you teach him to cook my meals?"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Hmm, if you like boiled cream.”

 Talia.Sunsong: "Noooo."

 Talia.Sunsong: "Hey let's use the archery bull's eye to teach Rorn how to aim."

 Rorn toddles up the bull's eye target.

Savage Taurus: “Take a deep breath and hold it. The longer you can hold it, the more accurate you will be. So, close targets you can do quickly, but for long range, practice holding your breath while aiming. This will also give the shot more force.”

 Saphira Mistwalker: “I wonder how many shots that target will take?”

 Talia.Sunsong: "Oh, they don't need that target for archery, do they?"

 Saphira Mistwalker rolls her eyes.

 Rorn takes in a little breath, then breathes out. Only a tiny flame escapes his mouth.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Too little Rorn."

 Savage Taurus: “Now the basic breath is just a wide spray. You can use that for short distances to cover a broad area around you for multiple enemies.”

A big burst of unfocused flame.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Remember what your father said. Deep breath.”

 Rorn takes in big breath, and let's it out, causing a big burst of unfocused flame.

 Savage Taurus: “For longer distances, you will need to practice the fire ball, which is a short powerful burst that will travel far.”

 Rorn takes in a medium breath. Letting it loose while stretching his neck towards the target. The fire is closer to the bull's eye.

 Saphira Mistwalker: “That's better Rorn.”

 Rorn coughs and spits out a fire ball.

 Saphira Mistwalker grins. "Nicely done."

 Talia.Sunsong: "Rorn you are the best!"

Rorn coughs and spits out a fireball

 Fiesty Lotus: "Ha, very good."

 Rorn: grins "Save princess?"

 Talia.Sunsong: "You are kind of small for that Rorn. Unless you save a doll."

 Saphira Mistwalker hisses laughter and nods. "If you keep practicing Rorn, you will be able to save a princess from the nasty knights when you are bigger."

 Fiesty Lotus: "Yup, that would do some damage."

 Rorn stomps his foot. "Want to save Princess NOW!"

 Fiesty Lotus: “Ummm.”

 Fiesty Lotus looks to Fae Talia.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Ok, calm down Rorn. I can put a doll in that tower, and you have to fly up and save her."

 Saphira Mistwalker hisses and smiles.

 Rorn: smiles "Save princess!!"

Talia.Sunsong: flies to the top of a tower and places doll on roof.

A very small princess.

Saphira Mistwalker giggles, looking at the very small princess on the tower.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Now save the poor princess from the tower where she was imprisoned by an evil knight!'

Saphira Mistwalker: “Rorn, the important thing with princesses is they must be handled VERY gently. You don't want to hurt them, like the nasty knights.”

 Rorn: eagerly flies to the tower "Save Princess ! Save Princess!"

 Rorn looks at Lady Saphira. "Gentle Rorn!"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Don't scare her Rorn.”

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Approach slowly.”

 Rorn slows his speed. Instead of snatching up the doll, he comes up slowly.

 Saphira Mistwalker nods approval.

 Rorn: circles the doll, gauging the wind speed.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Smile at the princess, so she knows you are friendly."

 Saphira Mistwalker snickers, thinking dragon smiles look frightening.

 Rorn grins accidentally shows his newly grown baby dragon fangs.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Maybe don't smile Rorn. You look like you want to eat her."

 Rorn closes his mouth.

 Saphira Mistwalker rubs her temples. "Say something nice about the princess Rorn. Compliment her dress."

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Tell her she is pretty.”

 Rorn: flapping his wings, Rorn hovers in front of the doll.  "Pretty, pretty!"

Talia.Sunsong: "Good, Rorn."

 Rorn: "Now save princess?"

 Talia.Sunsong: "Now is good."

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Yes, but don't just grab her, slowly move in close first so she can see you aren't attacking.”

 Rorn moves in slowly and lands next to the doll.

Rorn lands next to the doll.

 Rorn: "Pretty, pretty!"

 Saphira Mistwalker nods. "Good Rorn, you are doing it just right."

 Savage Taurus smiles as he listens to the women instruct his son on how to save a princess, keeping his thoughts to himself.

Savage Taurus smiles.

 Rorn: wraps his small, clawed hands around the waist of the doll and lifts her off the roof.

 Saphira Mistwalker notes Savage's slightly crooked smile and glares. "We want to teach him manners."

 Rorn carries the doll off the roof, flies to the ground and sets the doll gently down.

 Talia.Sunsong: "Yay Rorn saved the princess!"

 Saphira Mistwalker: “Well done Rorn.”

Well done Rorn.

 Rorn chest puffs up with pride. "I am a real dragon!"

 Savage Taurus: “When you are older, my son, we can discuss what to do with the princess once you've saved her from those pesky knights.”

Saphira Mistwalker rolls her eyes and mutters. "I can see I am going to have my claws full."
