Rorn and the Hobbits

 

Maisie looks at the party that have arrived and sees some new people. The Fae with the little dragon.

Talia.Sunsong: “Now that we have freed you Hobbits, can you cook food for me?”

Can you cook for me?

Fitheach Eun: “Quel re, everyone.”

Fitheach Eun:  “How are you all doing?”

Talia.Sunsong: “I'm hungry.”

Talia.Sunsong eyes the cauldron

Fitheach Eun lifts her eyebrow; "You are always hungry."

Fiesty Lotus looks sternly at the Fae. “Do not be rude Talia."

Rorn: scans the sweet Hobbit land, smelling the cooking and seeing a glint of silver.

Talia.Sunsong  : "It's not rude. Fair is fair. We saved them. I want my reward. Food."

Saphira Mistwalker rolls her eyes. "Sia, wiekr sone agmasaon lae kiarf lae rauhissi. [My, fae eat almost as much as hobbits]"

Fitheach Eun stifles a smile.

Copper Lotus: “We have enough I think to offer you some of our stew.”

Hobbits offer stew.

Rorn notices the shiny silver soup spoon.

Saphira Mistwalker:  “How are the new arrivals doing? Getting settled?”

Talia.Sunsong  : "Stew, yum!"

Copper Lotus: “These good people have given us a place to stay and food.”

Fitheach Eun smiles at Copper. " Pay no attention to the fae; she is always in need of food."

Fitheach Eun: “Or thinks she is.”

Rorn leaps off Talia's arm.

Rorn circles the Hobbit's camp.

Maisie Goes and gets bowls to fill with stew.

Maisie goes to get bowls.

Maisie: “We have bread also.”

Rorn: starting high in the air, then coming lower as he sees Maisie pick up a shiny soup spoon to ladle soup.

Savage Taurus: calmly eats stew and smokes his pipe.

Rorn swoops down and tries to snatch the soup spoon out of Maisie's hand.

Saphira Mistwalker watches the small dragon with a smile on her face, "Rorn, svabol re wux tirir? [Rorn, what are you doing?]"

Rorn: "Treasure!"

Fitheach Eun: “Uh oh....”

Saphira Mistwalker tries to hide a grin.

Talia.Sunsong : "Rorn, stop! I won't get soup."

Maisie recoils as the dragon swoops and grabs the spoon.

Rorn: "Mine mine mine mine." Rorn clutches tightly to the soup spoon.

Saphira Mistwalker laughs, "Oh my Talia, you may not get any stew."

Savage Taurus is proud that his boy is finally speaking.

Talia.Sunsong : "Give me that spoon!" flies into the air and chases Rorn.

Give me that spoon!

Rorn spots a necklace around the neck of a local Hobbit.

Fitheach Eun sighs and shakes her head.

Rorn dives towards the unsuspecting Hobbit.

Rorn reaches out with one claw to grab the necklace off the Hobbit.

Rorn grabs the necklace.

A hobbit cries out. “Oh dear!”

Saphira Mistwalker looks over at Savage, "Tepoha wux coanwor ankuir dout deevdru? [Have you been teaching your son?]"

Rorn: "Treasure, treasure, treasure."

Savage Taurus looks at Saph, shrugs and smiles.

Savage shrugs.

Rorn grabs the necklace and tugs.

Fiesty Lotus: “Talia dear , please get Rorn under control.”

Talia.Sunsong flies rapidly behind Rorn but is unable to stop in time when Rorn stops to grab the necklace.

Fiesty Lotus notices that the Hobbit is nearly desperate.

Talia.Sunsong: "Eeeeek!". bowls into Rorn and Maisie.

Fitheach Eun: “He needs discipline.”

Talia.Sunsong tumbles end over end through the flower bed.

Saphira Mistwalker quickly digs in her pouch and holds up a gold coin. "Rorn, you'd like this much more for your hoard."

Rorn spins in midair from the impact.

Rorn spins in midair.

Rorn slows his spin, shakes his dizzy head. His eyes alight on the gold coin.

Saphira Mistwalker smiles and twirls the coin, then tosses it into the air.

Saphira tosses a coin into the air.

Rorn drops the spoon and gives up on stealing the necklace. Rorn dives for the coin as it flips in the air.

The hobbit takes off her crystal necklace  and stashes in her pocket.

Fiesty Lotus:” Ahh Ambassador- You saved the day."

Saphira Mistwalker smiles. "Well, we just saved all these poor hobbits, we can't be letting them lose what little they have."

Rorn snatches the gold coin in his little hands "Mine mine, mine, mine."

Talia.Sunsong  crawls out of the flower bed she tumbled through, petals and dirt on her.

Fitheach Eun: “Thank you, Ambassador.”

Saphira Mistwalker: “My pleasure.”

Talia.Sunsong picks up soup spoon and holds it out to Maisie. "Stew?"

Fitheach Eun: “I think we should go and let the hobbits eat in peace, Talia.”

Talia.Sunsong sighs "No food?"

Fitheach Eun nods, "No food!"

Talia.Sunsong  : "Noooooooooo!"

No Food?

Talia.Sunsong  grabs stomach like she is starving.

Fiesty Lotus: “I have some roast goose in the pantry on the airship. We can sup on that with carrots and peas.”

Talia.Sunsong  : "Mmmm goose? with cranberry sauce"

Fiesty Lotus: Well, I will try to do an acceptable fruit .

Fiesty Lotus grins.

Copper Lotus: “Yes, we did grab a bit of crystal when we left. I am sure we can parley with folks around here for food and supplies.”

Fitheach Eun: "Hmmm, we need to discuss that, Copper. We are often in need of crystals."

Fitheach Eun: "Perhaps we can work out some trades?"

Copper Lotus: “Ah, yes? That would be interesting to hear.”

Fitheach Eun: "We will discuss it and come back with a proposal."

We will dicuss it.

Talia.Sunsong  : "I'm not interested in a marriage proposal."

Saphira Mistwalker: “Just keep the crystals under cover, I am afraid Rorn will take an eye and a claw to them.”

Talia.Sunsong: "Baby dragons need to make a treasure hoard. It's just natural."

Fitheach Eun rolls her eyes.

Fiesty Lotus nods.

Saphira Mistwalker: “Oh, I agree, but they need to be judicious about it.”

Saphira Mistwalker grins. "I had a ... bite to eat ... earlier. You folks enjoy, and we will leave the hobbits to their own dinner."
