Midsummer in the Grove

We Gather to Celebrate Midsummer

Talia.Sunsong dances around naked for Summer solstice
Savage Taurus: Heh
Fitheach Eun: Shall we start?
Talia.Sunsong: It’s a Fae thing to dance around naked for solstice
Fiesty Lotus: OK
Fiesty Lotus clears her throat

Fiesty Lotus: Welcome friends and family
Fiesty Lotus: We gather tonight to celebrate the longest day and shortest night, Litha, the Summer Solstice.
Fiesty Lotus: The Sun shines down upon us in its full crowning glory. It’s light, life giving and purifying.
Fiesty Lotus: I honor the elements themselves. I am surrounded by tall trees.
There is a clear sky and sun above me, clear water around me and cool dirt beneath me, and I am connected to all of these.

Hobbit Archdruid Fiesty

Fiesty Lotus: I celebrate the Summer Solstice, held in honor of the Sun.
All of Nature vibrates with the fertileness of the Summer Spirits

Fiesty Lotus faces south and thinks of fire
Fiesty Lotus: The Earth basks in the fires of the light and life of the Sun.
Fiesty Lotus: The ever-turning Wheel of the Year has made the light ever stronger
And the light has kept growing longer, until today
Fiesty Lotus: The middle of the time of light, Litha, MidSummer's Eve, Summer Solstice.
From here, the light begins to fade, again,
Fiesty Lotus: Until once more the Wheel turns to the time of darkness, Samhain, Yule, Winter Solstice.
Fiesty Lotus: Yet, for today, the Sun is high, the light is bright, the Earth is warm.
As the Sun blazes above, may the fires of my rite flame below.

Elf Archdruid Fitheach

Fitheach Eun turns to face the west and the water
Fitheach Eun: From the west, the mist rolls in
Bringing gentle rain and billowing fog
Fitheach Eun: The life-giving water without which
We would all cease to be.
Fitheach Eun: Water, life bringer, healer of all
Flow into and through us
Fitheach Eun: Bring change and fluidity
The clear stream of mystic reflection

Fae Talia and Rorn

Fiesty Lotus turns to face the North and thinks of the Earth
Fiesty Lotus: The sun rises high in the summer sky
And lights our way even into the night
Today the sun casts three rays
Fiesty Lotus: The light of fire upon the land, the sea, and the heavens
Beneath my feet is the Earth, Soil dark and fertile
Fiesty Lotus: The cradle of all creatures
The womb in which life begins
And will later die, then return anew.

Dragon Savage (Svagtuz)

Fitheach Eun turns to face the East and the birds of the air
Fitheach Eun: Warm winds caress my spirit
And rustle the green leaves above me
Fitheach Eun: Soft and tender breezes carry the scent of summer’s bounty
Give support and flight to all creatures of the air
Fitheach Eun: You dance around us gaily, but carry the threat of storms to come
Fitheach Eun: The darkness begins to hold sway
Fitheach Eun: Soon you will bring cooler winds and threats of winter snows
As the world turns to the dark again
Fitheach Eun turns back to the altar

Around the Altar

Fitheach Eun: Does anyone here wish to contribute any words to this celebration?
Talia.Sunsong: I feel the vibrancy of the sun
Talia.Sunsong: May life flow into us
Savage Taurus: May the sun give us strength and health
Fitheach Eun: Let us take a minute to remember absent friends and hope for their return
And keep a moment of silence for those we will see no more.
Fitheach Eun bows her head for a moment
Fitheach Eun: But, today, at Litha, we celebrate the life and love of the spirits of the world
Fitheach Eun shouts: Now let your hearts be light and your spirit filled with joy as we revel in the joys of Midsummer!”
Fitheach Eun: Let us dance out the longest day and honor the light as it begins to take its leave of us.
Talia.Sunsong: Do Fae get naked now?
Fitheach Eun: Thank you all.

Food on the Altar

Talia.Sunsong: Thank you Druids!
Savage Taurus: Poor Rorn will be scarred for life
Fitheach Eun: The circle is broken; the rite is ended. Go all now in peace and joy.
Talia.Sunsong: Rorn swoops down and snatches a cupcake off the
Altar.
Fiesty Lotus: Them cupcakes look good.
Talia.Sunsong: Rorn lands in a tree and rips the paper off the cupcakes and swallows the treat in 2 bites.
Savage Taurus: Good ceremony droods, let’s eat the foods.
