| Where Do They Get These Creatures? |
Talia Sunsong feels a slight tremor in the ground.
Fiesty Lotus: goes up to her triumphant Druid sister
"I think I would like to go back to the ship."
Fitheach Eun nods weakly, "So would I."
A putrid odor wafts down the street.
Saphira Mistwalker backs up and hisses.
Fiesty Lotus: looks around worriedly
Fitheach Eun: turns
to look and mutters: “Oh great, another one."
A long hairy leg steps out from behind a building. Then
another leg and another followed by a hideous face with multiple eyes over
mouth with fangs as big as an arm.
Fiesty Lotus backs up and wearily pulls out her staff again
Fitheach Eun raises an eyebrow: "Where do they get
these creatures?"
Saphira Mistwalker hisses. "I detest spiders. They're
not even that good to eat."
Fitheach Eun raises her hands wearily calling for more
lightning, but the power flow is weaker.

| Talia Stumbles Over a Fallen Creep |
Talia Sunsong: opens her mouth to scream and no sound comes
out. She backs away, stumbling over a fallen creep.
Savage Taurus catches a glimpse of an enormous arachnid
skittering down the dock and exclaims, "Holy Begeezus!"
Fitheach Eun hurls the bolt but to little effect.
Saphira Mistwalker tries to spout more fire at the huge
spider, but finds she has used up her reserves.
Fiesty Lotus: tries to make the earth give way beneath the
giant spider. A pit forms but it is not enough to swallow it
The spider skitters out of the ground
Fitheach Eun calls to the wind and it picks up but cannot
move the creature.
Saphira Mistwalker: hisses again, and rushes at the spider,
swinging her daggers and cutting deeply into one of the legs.
Savage Taurus instinctively shoots a breath of fire at the
monstrous spider.

| Talia Screams and Rolls Away |
Talia Sunsong: screams as she lays on the ground, and rolls
away from the giant spider
Saphira Mistwalker: nods, "Thank you Lord Savage, for
my fires are gone"
Talia Sunsong: Let's
run away Rorn!"
Talia Sunsong runs down the street, towards the nearest
building not noticing what it is. The creature follows after Rorn.
Saphira Mistwalker slices at the spider as it passes, but
her daggers slide along the hard legs doing little more damage.
Savage Taurus chases after the hideous creature,
exasperated that his fire breath doesn't seem to be having much effect on it
Talia Sunsong: Talia, with Rorn on her arm, backs further
and further away from the giant spider.
Talia Sunsong: Get
back you over grown bug!"
Talia Sunsong: Talia spreads her wings to fly, and find one
wing is tangled in her cloak.
Talia Sunsong: ‘I can't fly!"
Saphira Mistwalker shouts: “Talia! Get away from there!”

| The Spider Chases Talia and Rorn |
Savage Taurus grapples with one of the spider's legs, but
only manages to get himself flung backward.
Savage Taurus curses and grumbles that he wishes he could
revert to his old form.
Talia Sunsong turns to run, trips and falls into the water.
Before she hits the water, Rorn flies off her arm.
Brave little Rorn charges at the giant spider. He blows out
dragon fire from his mouth.
Rorn flies towards the huge monster, not minding he is but
a fraction of the size of the creature.
Rorn cannot read and does not see the writing on the
barrels he flies over.
The barrels say "Gunpowder".
Savage Taurus:
starting to get worried for his progeny, he calls out, "Rorn, come
back! Don’t attack that thing!"

The flames from Rorn's mouth hit the barrel of gunpowder,
setting it on fire.
The little dragon keeps flying, as the barrel grows so hot,
it explodes
Savage Taurus cries out in alarm, "Rorn!"
The explosion sends the hardy dragon, who is resistant to
fire, tumbling through the air towards his father.
The spider, who is not resistant to fire, but is
susceptible to it, screams as the explosion covers it in flames.

| Not Resistant to Fire |
Savage Taurus: jumps
up and catches his son as he tumbles through the air, and cradles him
protectively.
The giant spider flips over, thrashing its legs in its
death throes.
Savage Taurus follows the others as they run away
Fitheach Eun runs with the others.
Talia Sunsong crawls dripping wet out of the water, to see
a giant flaming dead spider. "What did I miss?" She sees her friends
and runs after them.

| Savage Catches Rorn |
Saphira Mistwalker shakes her head, "The usual, fire,
death, destruction, loud booms."
Talia Sunsong: “A typical day for us.”
Saphira Mistwalker looks back over her shoulder at the
carnage. "Somehow, I don't think we will be welcome back to that
tavern."
Fiesty Lotus: looks back and sees that the giant spider is
no more.
Savage Taurus chuckles.
Saphira Mistwalker: sighs. "And I didn't even get to
sample their ale."
